X Engine X started in early 1998 and quickly built a solid club/web fan base with a dedicated street team. They consider themselves loud and aggressive.
The band has completed several tours of Canada’s midwest, and has shared the stage with the likes of Nickelback, Filter, Flybanger, and The Headstones. Most recently, X Engine X were handpicked by Godsmack to be the opening act during their arena stop in Winnipeg in 2006.
X Engine X had previously released two EPs, Distortia and Inner Demons, songs of which have been featured on Winnipeg rock radio station Power 97’s compilation CDs, and were accepted for overnight rotation.
After spending a year working on their new album, After The End, X Engine X is now busy focusing on their live show, in support of their efforts in the studio.
After The End features songs that have been tried, tested and refined onstage, including such fan favorites as "Man On Fire," "Save Yourself," and "I Am."
Recorded at Vambo Sound Productions in Winnipeg, mixed by Duane Baron in Los Angeles, and mastered by Jamie Sitar in Vancouver, After The End was released in February 2008 and is X Engine X's third release. It features a strong rhythm section, killer guitar solos, and soaring yet searing vocals that prove the band is still at the top of their game, and will continue to, as they put it, "corrupt the world one song at a time." Sounds fine to us!
